It's been a long time since we've been insi-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ide of this tomb

Compassion

Derived from the Late Latin word compati (suffer with one; pity, have compassion)

derived from the Latin word pati (suffer; allow; undergo)
using the Latin prefix con- (together)
derived from the Latin prefix com-
derived from the Latin word cum (with)
derived from the Proto-Indo-European root *kom (near, with, together)

standing next to the ocean
hearing the waves roll
smelling the salt and feeling at complete peace.
I wonder why people suffer
Some claim it is God's fault
and other's fate
I know that it is apathy
and hearts filled with hate.

Out here there is serenity
I get that I'm a molecule in this giant universe
I don't matter...I want to matter
How do you convince the selfish to be selfless?

I want to swim..and swim until my arms give out..and sink
low low low underwater
under the undertow
and breathe life to this planet
while it sucks
and sucks sucks sucks
away every sustainable thing
that can be bought, burned and paved..

I miss most what I've never had...
time to live..time to ride
out and keep swimming
