So a good friend of mine and I were talking on twitter today and one of my comments needed an explanation.
Noel Gallagher didn't like Jay-Z headlining the Glastonbury festival and I'm sure most people (at least in the states) would be quick to make accusations of racism, Noel made sure he cleared up what he meant. He said at one time he loved where rap was going, but "it's all about status and bling now, and it doesn't say anything to me."
I've been saying the same thing about rap for a long time. It's tough to find a good rap artist who raps about something other than ho's, jewelry, drugs, or killing someone. Obviously, if I don't like it I don't have to listen and I don't. I would like to find some good rap to listen too...somewhere.
