By landslide and rockblast they got buried so deep that in death if not life they'll have peace while they sleep...

I love to stay as far away from politics as possible.  As a person who believes very much in free will...it's very hard for me to help decide what people can and can't do.  Of course, it always seems that the greedy and ambitious gravitate toward the politicians life which is most likely why e.e. cummings said, "A politician is an arse upon which everyone has sat except a man."

Steven Colbert (no, i never watch his show, but I do think he's funny) took the stand at a congressional hearing recently where the topic was immigrants who pick our crops. He was typical Colbert and many in congress are calling his appearance "inappropriate."

An Article Almost as Wonderful as Stiller

Colbert's humor reminds me very much of Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal" which was very grim when I first read it, but it makes an extreme point about a sensitive suspect. Just like when Colbert talked about the easiest way to get rid of migrant workers is to stop eating vegetables and fruit.

I've always been drawn toward the shocking and honest. What Colbert did wasn't inappropriate by what he said, but by pointing out a subject lawmakers don't want us to talk about. No dirty politician wants to see the ends of his or her means...
